David Hockney at Royal Academy
David Hockney shows his wonderful landscapes from around Yorkshire,and other parts of the country painted on canvas (and on iPad of all things) over the last 10 years, with a few diversions and references to earlier works.This is a totally immersive show with a wonderful big scope and in spite of being crowded due to it’s popularity, you still get sucked into his impressive world of light and colour by the sheer force of the work.I wouldn’t want to miss this showHere is the link:David Hockney at RA,London
Yayoi Kusama at Tate Modern
Moments of sheer genius, but unfortunately in this show they feel too few and far between.Good source of inspiration though and the very last ‘room’ in unmissable.Maybe something got “Lost in Translation’ between English and Japanese culture, in spite her having resided in New York for quite a while in the 60’s and 70’s.Here is the link:Yayoi Kusama
